Conversational Copy for Marketing and Sales

About Me

My dual background in journalism and financial sales has equipped me with a distinctive edge for writing effective and persuasive copy for the business community as well as for non-profits.

Before returning to the East Coast to establish my corporate writing business, I’d worked at Monex Deposit Company, a precious metals investment house in Newport Beach, California where I sold to clients who invest in gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. In California, I also worked in sales at the mid-market investment banking firms, Citigroup’s Geneva Corporation, and RSM Equico Corporation.

As a result, I’m familiar with financial markets, and can write simply about them for your clients.

Before coming to California, I’d been a salesman at The Bureau of National Affairs, Inc., a Washington-DC-based publisher of legal, tax and business information. While in Washington, I’d also worked as a freelance journalist, publishing many classical music concert reviews for The Washington Post as well as book reviews for Washington Jewish Week and other well-known publications.

I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I attended Syracuse University in New York and Temple University in Philadelphia where I majored in English and Philosophy. I hold a certification in creative non-fiction from the Writers’ Institute at The CUNY Graduate Center in New York City where I studied under senior editors from The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

When I’m not writing copy for a client, I can be caught listening to jazz or classical music. I’m a devoted fan of Mose Allison, Dinah Washington, Itzhak Perlman, and The Beatles.
